Ardoum Winery

Ardoum Winery is the vision of Joseph Khairallah, an accomplished wine and spirit maker.  In 1990, he created arak, the national spirit of Lebanon, under the brand name Al Kasr.   This name translates to “castle” which references the winery buildings located in the village of Mtein.  Multiple trips to Boudreaux gave Khairallah insight into the richness of different grape varietals. Sourcing grapes from the fertile Bekaa Valley the winery produces fine (need specifics here – cabernet, cinsault, etc. etc? – stating red, wine, rose doesn’t cut it).  In addition to their signature arak the team at Ardoum Winery creates other spirits including whiskey, vodka, and gin using local ingredients.

Ardoum Winery overlooks Kneish Mountain which is part of the Lebanon Mountain Trail, the country’s first long distance hiking trail.  Guests can hike to the winery and relax in the garden, caves or cellars while they enjoy Ardoum wine, spirits, and food.

Syrah 2018
This dry, bold and full-bodied wine is one of a kind. Despite the strong and powerful taste of monocepage Syrah, our winery has the courage to produce a unique and distinguished wine that is aged for 12 months in french oak barrels, which give it a full, rich and pleasant flavor
Obeideh 2021
This fruity and smooth white wine is created Ardoum Winery in Mtein Village. It got its unique taste from indigenous Lebanese grape called OBEIDEH, which is what our white wine is mostly made of. Our OBEIDEH will tangle your taste buds and take you back to the world of early Phoneicians who planted the first plant vines to produce & export wine to the Mediterranean and other areas.
Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
This full-bodied, dry wine, is a specialty at our winery. Our Cabernet Sauvignon caresses your taste buds with its velvety tannins concentration.
The Red Four
A unique blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Grenache and Merlot makes this wine a one of its kind with its rich and dense texture. The dry climate elevated at 5,500 feet shaped its dry texture and its light ruby color. The nose is pronounced by notes of our French oak barrels after aging for 6 months.
