About Wine from Lebanon
Wine from Lebanon will highlight innovative new winemakers from Lebanon with a focus on several native varietals–Obaideh, Merwah, Meksassi and Sobbaghieh–unique, native grapes never tasted before.
The Wine from Lebanon project is supported by USAID’s Trade and Investment Facilitation (TIF) activity. This project’s aim is to support a group of 15 Lebanese wineries to increase the exportation of their wines in the US, starting first with a launch in Texas, one of the largest states for wine consumption in the U.S. and eager to explore new varietals. The program will focus on targeted trade tasting events, educational seminars, and awareness efforts.
